Being a travel advisor means we are travel planners, consultants, curators, designers, etc. We spend time learning the preferences of our clients. We use modern technology, industry relationships, expert knowledge, and insider resources to customize every detail of your vacation to fit your personalized needs.
We plan your vacation from start to finish. We do all of the research and trip planning for you. From an in-depth consultation to identify your needs, to the customized itinerary package prepared just for you, to the detailed pre-departure document verifications, you will always receive exceptional and personalized service. This gives you an experience far beyond what you could do on your own after spending hours on an automated booking engine.
We take care of every travel detail to ensure that your trip is completely seamless and stress-free from beginning to end. This means that we take the stress out of travel planning so that you don’t have to worry about a thing!
A travel advisor has first-hand travel experience, educational expertise, travel certifications, travel industry affiliations, worldwide connections, insider resources, and partner relationships to create your dream vacation.
Using a travel advisor will save you time. Working with a travel advisor can save you hours or even weeks of research and price comparisons. Coordinating all of the travel logistics can be very time-consuming, and planning any type of travel can be overwhelming. Traveling should be about the traveling experience itself and not the stress of planning the trip before it even starts! This is why you need an experienced travel advisor. Working with a travel advisor will save you time because our goal is to take the complicated and stressful elements of travel planning off of your plate.
When you work with a travel advisor you will not receive an auto-populated, unpersonalized itinerary from a basic booking engine. By working with a travel advisor you will receive a tailor-made vacation itinerary. Simply give us your preferences, and we will take the planning from there. We will ask you questions to better understand what you are looking for in a trip. We learn about your needs, must-haves, and desires. This allows us to design a trip personalized just for you!
There are a lot of things in life that we seek out experts to help us with. Why should your vacation experience be any different? Of course, you could research your own trip, spend hours booking all of the components, line up your itinerary perfectly, and then make sure everything runs according to plan while you are on your trip. But what happens if everything doesn’t run smoothly? What if an issue arises while you’re on vacation? We all want to imagine the perfect vacation. But life happens, even on vacation. Even the most well-planned trips may experience the unexpected. Do you really want to spend your valuable vacation time sitting on hold for hours while trying to fix that trip glitch? Online, automated booking engines will easily take your money to book your trip, but what happens after that might not always be as easy. If you didn’t use a travel advisor, it means that you are the one dealing with the consequences. Wouldn’t you rather give your travel advisor one quick call and let the professionals handle it for you? Doesn’t that sound easier and more relaxing for you? Travel advisors are here to support you. We are your best advocate when something goes wrong. We are just a phone call, text, or email away for you before, during, and after your trip. When you work with Travelology, you’re not only supporting a small business, but you will also always speak with a live person. There are no robots, 1-800 numbers to route through, or automatic email responses. We value each and every one of our clients! You are more than just a number to us!
Do the reasons to use a travel advisor end there? No! We haven’t even touched on the extra VIP perks yet. Our supplier relationships with cruise lines, resorts, hotels, and tour operators can also lead to perks like an on-site resort credit, an upgraded room category, a daily free breakfast, spa credits, a bottle of champagne, complimentary airport transfers, and the list goes on. These amenities can add up quickly and they add a ton of value to your vacation package. Receiving upgrades like these is just another one of the benefits of using a travel advisor!
Travel advisors work with their clients on a personal level to ensure that they have the best possible experience before, during, and after their trip. A travel advisor adds incredible value to your trip in ways that you can’t even begin to imagine!

It is a chance for you and your travel advisor to meet and discuss your vacation. During the consultation, we will ask you questions to better understand what you are looking for in a vacation. This also gives us the opportunity to determine if we’re a good fit to create your trip. We will ask you about your must haves, preferences, and desires.
Yes, of course! That’s why we call it a proposal. Communication is key during this stage of the process. This is your vacation, not ours. If there is something you don’t like, please tell us! We want to make sure everything is exactly to your liking before we begin the booking phase.
We are happy to use whichever mode of communication you prefer. This can be a phone call, texting, Zoom, or social media messengers. It really just depends on what works best for you and the specific situation.
Travel advisors get paid directly from the travel supplier (cruise lines, hotels, resorts, tour operators, etc.). A travel advisors main source of income comes from commissions, direct from the vendors. For example, if you’re booking a cruise, the travel advisor is the one taking your payment information, but the supplier is ultimately the one charging you. Then the cruise line will pay the travel advisor after you’ve traveled.
The short answer is no! Did you know that the commission for a travel advisor is already built into the price of a cruise, a resort stay, a land tour, etc.? This means whether you use a travel advisor or not, you are still paying the same price because the commission is already built into the price of the travel package. By not using a travel advisor, you are still paying the same price but the commission stays with the cruise line, the resort, or tour operator.
In addition, our established industry connections allow us to offer unique travel packages that you simply can’t find anywhere else. Our connections often gives us access to specials that the general public simply doesn’t have access to book on their own. Meaning we can sometimes use these connections to get you an overall lower price on your trip! This means that in many cases, you might even end up saving money by booking through a travel advisor. However, it’s also important to note that what you might think is “cheaper” doesn’t always mean it’s “better”. If you think that you've found your trip cheaper somewhere else, are you really reading the fine print closely? Do you know what services are included? Are you really comparing apples to apples?
Our skilled and knowledgeable team are experts at finding the best personalized package for your budget. Our industry expertise gives us the knowledge to know which suppliers will offer the best package for your particular destination. We can work with a variety of budgets, but our goal is always to work within YOUR personal budget.
We will send you a credit card authorization form. This will enter your credit card information directly into our CRM. After we get your signed authorization form approving the booking, we will begin making the reservations. After that is complete, we will send you an invoice along with the travel confirmations.
Yes, we store your information in a secure, password protected, encrypted CRM.
Our service doesn’t end once your trip is booked. We will stay on top of your reservation in case anything changes or needs our attention. We will also keep in regular contact with you prior to your trip to make sure you have all of your pre-departure documents. This will include the documents that are within our control. For the things that we cannot take care of for you (like passports), we will help guide you along the way.
We will also be here for you during your trip if any issues arise. We include in-destination support from the time you leave home to the time you arrive back at home. We are available by text, phone, or email. We will also follow up with you after your trip to ensure everything went well!
